The U.S. State Department has designated five world governments as state sponsors of terrorism. While currently some of these governments are not directly involved in terrorist activity themselves, many support terrorist groups by providing funding and arms, as well as providing training, logistical support, sanctuary, or diplomatic & training facilities.
Note that the United States has yet to designated the Palestinian National Authority as one of these governments; however, its policies and actions have led us to add them to this Site.
